Wouter Vandenhole is full professor of human rights and children’s rights and directs the Law and Development Research Group of the University of Antwerp’s law faculty. He is co-PI of an interdisciplinary and interuniversity research project on Future-Proofing Human Rights: Developing Thicker Forms of Accountability. He chairs the academic working party of the University Foundation for Poverty Alleviation as well as the non-governmental solidarity-south organization Broederlijk Delen.
Wouter Vandenhole is a human rights and law-and-development scholar. His research interests include children's rights, economic, social and cultural rights, the relationship between human rights law and sustainable development, and thicker human rights accountability. Recent research topics include a post-territorial and post-state human rights paradigm; transformative equality; early marriage and intercountry adoption.
